I've been running Android M preview (no mods, no root) for a few months now. In the mean time I've upgraded my main rig to windows 10. So far I like it a lot better than 8.1.
I decided I would like to run a custom kernel on my Nexus, so I tried to root. Problem is Windows does not see anything when I plug in the tablet. I turned on USB-debugging. The tablet shows it's charging, but it never prompts me to see if I want to trust the computer. Windows device manager doesn't show anything that looks like it could be the tablet; it is like it doesn't even recognize anything is plugged in at all.
The question for the group: Anybody else successfully root Android M whilst running Windows 10? Any tricks to try?
Thanks mightily in advance.
