When I put a new SIM card in the phone it says NO SIM CARD. I took it to a shop and they showed me that the battery indicator had turned red and also the corresponding indicator in the phone itself. They said this showed water damage.
However this is not possible as the phone has simply sat in a draw nowhere near water or even condensation.
I've done the usual factory reset and tried different SIMS.
Is there anything else that would turn these indicators red and if so can it be reversed?
