The phone is NOT rooted. its on 4.4.2.
My 816 turns on, goes into the splash screen, (HTC logo and android), then jumps immediately into a picture of a battery with three green arrows (two making a circle, and one pointing down in the middle of them), with a progress bar that does not move.
At that point, its frozen. (removing the charger leaves the orange light on, hence the frozen status). The only thing I can do is hold the power + vol up buttons for the phone to turn off. I am convinced that somehow, the recovery and firmware are both corrupted. I pray that this is not a lost cause.
Edit: I have somehow managed to get it to charge without turning on, and it will show me the battery percentage. touching anything else will cause it to turn on and the arrow thing
