I have a HTC desire 301s which I wish to root
it is a 2nd hand Telstra phone but is no longer connected to Telstra
In order to root the HTC desire I need to upgrade the ROM
To upgrade the ROM I need a ruu from htcdev dot com
but the only ruu that has the word "telstra" in the name, throws error 154 "Image Updating Error" with an error message that says "Please get the appropriate ROM Update utility and try again"
Does anybody know of any options or workarounds that may be available to me since it seems that an appropriate RUU is not available for my phone?
or is it impossible to root my phone?
