Addresses in Gmail to link to Maos

hello everyone I am new to Android 4.4. I switched over from Android 4.2 on my htc One S. something that was so simple before seems to take multiple steps to achieve. I used to be able to tap a business address in my gmail and it would automatically go to maps and find the address for me. now I have to select text copy open up maps go to search paste and then enter to get my directions. is there some setting I'm missing that will enable this to work like Android 4.2?
I have the HTC One remix version stock 4.4
