Hello all, a few quick specs to put this in context:
Model: HTC One M7
Carrier: AT&T
Bootloader: Unlocked
Rooted: Yes
Custom Recovery: CWM
Android Version: 5.0.2
HTC Sense Version: 6.0
Software Version: 7.23.502.1
I updated my phone to 5.0.2 a few months back from 4.4.x using via OTA (flash stock recovery, updated, flash back, etc. Had done before to update to KitKat as well in this saga http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...-ota-t2933744/) which seemed to go just fine. However, since I updated, I noticed that pretty much every facet of the text messaging is delayed: sending, receiving, opening and closing the application, typing, even the keyboard popping up. Sometimes it works fine, but the majority of the time there is a clear few second lag that wasn't there before, and then there are the days when it takes several minutes to hours to send and receive messages (current record is ~24 hours delayed). If I try to send or receive an MMS, forget it - I might as well put the phone down for 10 minutes because the phone will be entirely occupied by trying to handle that. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the root/recovery/bootloader, as a family member with the same model but none of the tinkering has been having the same issues since updating. Additionally, messages sent and received via Google Voice work just fine, it's the native Messages that's having problems.
Any thoughts on what's going on or suggestions? Thanks!
