T-mobile Note 3 USA installing custom kernel/installing kali though LinuxDeploy HELP

m just gonna start off by saying I don't know sh*t about android, and I know very little about linux (I 'm trying to learn but as of now I still know little to none). I do a little web dev and I'm screwing around with pentesting, but nothing major. All I want to do is run linux on my android. My android is rooted (I used towelroot because KingoRoot sucks a** and wouldn't root right) and I have terminal emulator and linux deploy and android vnc etc, everytime I go to install kali it says "mount*points fail". I've already updated the environment and made sure it was set to the right location in settings and I know the other reason is because my SE Linux is set to "enforcing" and I have to change it to permissive, but it doesn't let me change it through terminal emulator or the SELinuxChanger app. I read a bit more and found out I needed a custom kernel, I figured out that "lean kernel" was popular and sped things up a bit and it also had SE Linux set to "permissive". So I downloaded the zip, went into TWRP recovery mode, flashed/installed the kernel and it said it did it successfully. Then I went to boot and it looped 2 times then froze. So I booted into recovery and restored my device to a backup I had made. It functions perfectly as it did before (still rooted, because I only made the backup earlier today) but I still didn't solve my initial problem of making SE Linux "permissive". I hope that didn't make any of you more experienced people out there cringe with disgust at how badly I went about doing this, but please I just need help. I'll comment any more information you need if you need anything else, but I just need specific instructions on how to do this because I can't find anything (that works) about my phone specifically anywhere else.
P.S.: Yeah, English is my first language in*case*you were wondering, and I know there are a lot of mistakes in there, but that's not my concern right now, I just need want to boot kali or ubuntu off of my tmobile*note 3USA edition and I dont know how tf to do that successfully.

Thanks for reading, please help meh
