Sound through Usb Port

I am looking to use my Fire TV on my computer monitor which does not have built in speakers. I am wondering if using an AUX to USB Cable will work if I plug the aux side into a speaker and the USB into the fire TV. I will also be using a VGA to HDMI to connect the Fire TV to the monitor so if there are errors with that please let me know.
