So, I bought a Nexus 9 a couple of weeks ago

Anything I should or shouldn't do with it, from the standpoint of making the device last as long as possible? I am moving out of Europe in 3 to 7 months, so I'm not sure what happens with my warranty after that.
I'm not tech savvy, I have refrained from even rooting the device.
