so a few years back, I used to have the Galaxy S1 or fascinate or whatever it was called. I remember rooting it and installing custom ROMS and whatnot, and I loved it. I upgraded to a Galaxy SIII last summer, but unfortunately, I cracked my screen beyond repair (I cracked the digitizer and even the piece underneath it. I've been using an iPhone, but I got sick of it and bought another SIII. I've only had it for a few days, and I bought it with the intentions of installing a custom ROM (preferably CM). However, after looking around, it appears that I may not be able to do it since my phone is running stock 4.4.2. Is there now a way around this? Could I potentially swap the innards of my old phone to this one and root it, or would my old SIII still have 4.3 or higher (I kept it updated and broke it probably around June-July 2014)? Any help is appreciated.
