samba with ethernet connection

This has been on my list of things to fix. I use samba file sharing by funkyfresh on both my aftvs. Both are on 5ghz since the app won't start on boot unless your on WiFi. Since my WiFi speeds are pretty fast I don't lose a lot but would rather use Ethernet when possible.
Android Ethernet connections aren't common but wondering if any smb apps now include this? Btw--funkyfresh works great BTW it just won't autostart on boot.
