The Kernel
BrokenOs for Shamu, much like all my other devices I have developed on, features the Lightning Zap! kernel.

From our lead dev Ken:
"This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that theres anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that theres anything wrong with that either). ...I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys.."
Thanks to Slim for the best base...
Installation Procedure
Make sure you are on 5.1 already and a matching custom recovery (TWRP recommended)

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Gandolf and all the other moderators for my previous BrokenOs thread and the events that came before it was removed. Although I was a bit immature with the way I initially handled things, I do not regret doing it. Because it actually opened a door in which KennyG123 and I were able to work out the issues between XDA and some BrokenOs members not acting right. With this resolve, BrokenOs is now allowed back in to the XDA community and forums. Thanks to all...
Happy flashing, and always make backups, fresh flash (wipe /system, /data, /cache, /dalvik), the thanks button is free and appreciated, and always be kind to others...
