Tl;Dr question: will the stock Android recovery also clear the internal storage(more importantly, photos)?
I work at a phone store. A customers baby set a PIN on his Note 3, and he's freaking out because he has no backup of the photos of said baby. He gave me his Google account and password, Device Manager is able to send a message to the phone, but not change the PIN. There is no option for "Forgot Password?" on the lockscreen to sign in with the account. Pictures are not accessible over USB.
We could do a factory reset, but I don't know if stock recovery clears the internal storage. The guy should have had it backed up, but I feel bad that he's going to lose 1+ year of baby photos. Hes so desperate he offered 0 if we could get the photos, I don't even care about the money though, I just feel bad for him :(
