Bit of background: I've been asking Google for months to add gapless playback on Play Music for months, today I found out that it does exist (and possibly has for a while) on my Nexus 7, my sister's Galaxy S6 and even a S3 mini. Which lead to believe that this is a bug that only exists for the One m8.
After some Googling I found out BoomSound is actually what causes the issue. More specifically I think HTC has messed around with the stagefright libraries (or possibly the mediacodec) so I want to try flashing the libs from another device to see if it helps. I assume that I need to pull the files off another 5.0.1 device. Anyone else have experience in this?
