[Q] Help needed to port a ROM to a differen phone with same SOC

Hi,

I would like to port the novafusion lollipop rom from Samsung golden (S3 mini) to Samsung skomer (XCover 2). They both use the NovaThor U8500 SOC. There is a kitkat rom for skomer (vanir).

• Does this mean I have all the bits available I need for the porting?


• Can a kernel be used on different phones with the same SOC?


• Is there somewhere a list what has changed in the source from kitkat to lollipop - or can I reuse the device tree from the kitkat skomer rom?


• Have I missed the "[GUIDE] Port to another phone with same SOC" thread which answers all my questions - and the next to come :o ?
