Phone wont send or receive SMS or MMS on ATT

I got my G3 from verizon onto Cricket (AT&T), it makes calls, gets H+ everything works except for the SMS and MMS, I have tried to use handcent, gopro, textra, and none of this works. Is there a work around for this issue?
