My Nexus 9 died.

Recently I was on my nexus 9, on adobe reader , then went on asphalt the car game and then my n9 made this loud crackling noise like something going to pop and my n9 screen went from normal to red dots everywhere like the screen was burning, then my tablet died. Wtf

What happened , all I can think of is GPU died??
