I tried rooting Moto G3 (yes, which was released last month). I followed following steps
(1) I installed latest SDK as well as Motorola drivers
(2) Unlocked bootloader as given on Motorola website (after this I am getting warning whenever I am restarting mobile that "this device has unlocked")
(3) I used recovery image with fastboot commands (I tried many recoveries available on internet)
(4)On command prompt it showed everything is "OK" and provided me amount of time it took.
(5)Now when I went to recovery mode, I am getting message "startup failed"
What else I have already tried
(1) As many forums suggest for previous models of Moto, we have to press volume key Down and then Up. I tried this many times. Doesn't help. Now I have to press power button to select any option
(2) Tried installing by adb sideload, however I always got error of "device not found".
(3) I never observe "ripple effect" or "black lines" running on screen
(4) When I enter stock recovery mode I will get "command not found" and andoid robot lying down logo. Here I press power for 2-5 seconds and then volum 'Up'. This will take me to stock recovery mode. Now I tried to install "Super user" zips (I tried many) and it always gave me error of "Signature verification failed".
Can anyone comment on this ?:eek:
