htc one x softbreak/twrp help

hi this is the first time on xda and i was wondering if anybody could help me with this probleme
i'm not sure exactly what is the probleme in my" htc one x international tegra 3" . because when i tried to install a new rom with twrp it didn't work and i always get back to my old custom rom . i tried to install several rom but still the same old problem and i always perform a factory reset / and wide data and cache before installing a new rom.
so is it a twrp problem or soft break problem
