I'm interested in downgrading my Thor which is currently on firmware 4.5.5, because some apps have problems with the FireOS and the customization features of FireOS are pretty much.. uh, nonexistent.
I once had rooted my Thor and installed HDX Nexus, but back then the battery life was pretty bad, so I switched back to stock 3.* and because the battery life was still bad I didn't care about the root anymore and upgraded to 4.*.
Currently my battery life is about 7-12 days in standby with FireOS 4.5.5, I mostly use it to read manga, so if I read for 2-3 hours in the evening the battery lasts for about 4-5 days depending on how high I set the brightness.
Can I achieve similar or better results with HDX Nexus or CM-11? Because if not there would be no need for me to do all the downgrading stuff etc.
Or can I install a second 4.5.5 stock rom with safestrap?
