How can I get commander work?

I am about to get started with Android Studio, but I need one more thing. to do that: the commander tab on the right edge of the screen. When I push CRTL+Tab, the popup window does not even bring up the Commander as a Tab to add. How can I install it?
PS: does it have anything to do with I am using Ubuntu?
