Hi. I am using the shield portable with Android Version 5.1 installed, my shield hub version is 4.4.19851821, Geforce Experience is 2.5.13.6.
No matter what I do (reinstall, restart) I cannot connect my shield portable to Gamestream. It shows all my games in shield hub, but it always says my PC is offline. Usually when I cant connect to the pc with the shield there is always an option to enter a four digit code to pair my shield with my pc and it always worked. Now there is a new option to LOG IN! Log in to what? Log into my own pc?? Makes no sense. When I log into my google account on my pc and shield it still doesnt connect. Then I try my nvidia account and it doesnt connect either, absolutely no sign at all that anything changed. My shield just says log into Geforce Experience. Or it says your PC is offline all the time. It worked great before the LOG IN option appeared in the new update of the hub and GFE. Another forum told me to install an older version of GFE 2.2.2 and use moonlight app to stream. Once I installed geforce experience 2.2.2 it tried to auto update to the latest version and would not let me use it at all, it kept closing the window when I hit cancel:confused: All of my usual troubleshooting skills have not helped. I have reinstalled the drivers and software and restarted everything but with no results. I dont know what the next step is. Should I wait for Nvidia to release another update or try to downgrade to a lower android version? Would it matter if I downgrade all the software if it always auto updates? I would like to have more of choice which version of software is installed on my PC. I dont like being FORCED to update to the latest version, because the latest version Is BROKEN!
Anyway, thanks in advance if someone found a solution that doesn't involve installing a custom rom as last resort.
And if you say there is no solution then that's fine too, its better than always wondering what is wrong.
