G3 KDZ downgrade - 24B to 23C WITH NORMAL FLASH?

Hey I am used to using KDZ to return to stock but if I am downgrading can I choose normal flash and it will downgrade with keeping all of the data? I feel like this would cause problems. Has anyone tried? I have used normal flash but only to flash the same version I was already on.
