So I wanted to try out Project Fi. I read that you would be able to port from Google Voice to Project Fi, then back to Google Voice if you didn't like the service. The service is pretty bad where I live, and well the data is just not competitive. The long and short of it, you will have to port you Project Fi number to another carrier, then port it back to Google Voice. This is contrary to what the so called "experts" at Android Central had to say.
