Custom recovery + root for 5.1.1 with locked bootloader?

As it says in the title, and I do apologize if that has already been mentioned: is it possible to install twrp or cwm and root the Xperia Z3 Compact on Lollipop 5.1.1 whilst keeping the bootloader locked?
