Hello everyone i'm and old member but im new to these forums, so sorry if my thread is not in place...
About a month ago i bought the new CAT S50, i thought it would be a really great purchase after my birthday, a long lasting phone that is rugged and can take a hit. So the story happened on the first day that i unpacked it, the design was awesome, of course only android kitkat, but it was enough for me, for the first hour it was perfect, until i decided to call somebody, then i noticed that people can't hear me, the sound was like talking through a 6meter thick concrete wall, so the next day i went to its warranty, and left it there to fix it. After a week i took it back and finally it was a well working perfect phone, then i noticed thats its volume button is stuck somehow, but i thought, well i doesn't annoy me, i can still press it but a little bit harder. So it was okay, but i was still dissapointed that i found to bad thing about it, i wasn't especting a modern awesome phone with a lot o fetures, just a rugged phone that is well working. Later on i decided to test if its really watter proof, i checked the caps if it was closed properly, and it was, i put it in a bowl of water, and it was perfect, its looked like it nothing happened, music was still playing trough its speaker, then later on that evening i decided to film under water in a swimming pool, the depth of the water was the size of my palm, beacause i didin't want to put it deeper, after 10 seconds i checked the video, it was awesome, then i decided to check some photos and BAM the phone went dark, got water in it, turns on until the cat logo and it doesn't work, well if you think its the end of the story it isn't... went to the phones warranty again, they took it and the next day they called and they said it will take up to two weeks to get the new parts and i said ok. After to weeks, i went to the warranty and got a piece of paper, and it was written, that i can go back to the provider i bought the phone from and choose if i want my money back or the phone, of course i decided to take the phone, and now i have to wait for a week to get a new one, and luckily i am hoping if i will get a properly working one. So heres the story of my new CAt S50 "rugged" phone, i was wondering if i'm the only one? has anybody had problems like these with their new CAT S50? sorry for the long post, but i just want to know, was i really unlucky to get a bad phone or are they really that bad, that doesn't work properly on the first day?
