BT audio dropping for no reason

I've got my xperia z3 connected to my car audio over BT but all of a sudden the sound will stop but the song keeps playing on the phone, and after a second or two the sound comes back, it's like if I muted the volume for a second.

I didn't have this problem on a cheap chinese knockoff but I had it with my note 3 and my z3.
