Hello experts,
I've been using my trusted S II for several years, when only half a year ago I rooted it and installed NeatROM on it (jellybean). Even before the rooting, probably after upgrading to the official jellybean, I was experiencing the following scenario:
I put the phone on airplane mode when I fly, or simply turn off both Wifi and Data (over 3g cellular network), so to reduce the battery consumption when I go to bed and don't want to be woken up by texts at 3am. I also turn off Sync option so that different apps (like gmail or calendar) won't wake up the device and try to connect to the internet every minute (and fail).
Then after a long period I turn on Data or wifi, and then - BOOM - a massive drain of the battery, which is accompanied by sluggishness in responses to me pressing the screen or even pulling down the status bar. It is as if all the apps that need an internet uplink - Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp - wake up at once and try to get online together.
Does anyone else experiences this kind of effect? Is there a way to fix that?
Thanks in advance.
