Hi all, hoping to find a solution to an issue I've been having with a new N6. The Auto-rotate feature is refusing to activate when I put the phone on its side. Apps which force landscape mode (eg Netflix) can still function normally, its just rotating when the phone is sideways that doesn't work.
Things I have tried:
None of the above have worked. Has anyone had any experience with this issue? All the threads I found by searching the forums were fixed by checking the accelerometer with the above-mentioned apps.
Device info:
Nexus 6, rooted and unlocked, running stock android 5.1 ROM over the latest leankernel.
Things I have tried:
- reboot
- un-check and then re-check autorotate in the swipe down quick access menu
- un-check and then re-check "landscape mode on rotate" in settings > display.
- verify accelerometer is working ("check my android" and "accelerometer monitor" both show active readings on all three axes)
