alternative to android for htc evo 3d that has been rotted HELP

Hi I have htc evo 3d that has been rotted but looking on here that lollipop does not work and my android is old and out dated so I need new os. The software that I use is Facebook messenger and Skype are the only two that I need to working 100% as well as text and phone call.
So what do you recommend:confused:
