[Q] Does Gear VR work with third party ROM?

Hi guys, I plan to flash 3rd party ROM on my Galaxy S6, and is worried that the new ROM wouldn't work with Gear VR. If I install Oculus manually, would Gear VR still works with the new ROM? Thanks! :)
