Hi All, I bought a Note II (verizon) on ebay (I know, groan) the owner said it was stuck in a boot loop and couldn't do anything with it. I figured it was just an update gone bad and I could easily fix it by flashing the stock rom back in. However, when I got the phone, it was a completely different story. I can't get it to do ANYTHING! I have tried 2 different batteries, charged them via the phone's USB cord and an outside charger and can't get it to even acknowledge the power button push. If I push the power button and hold it, I get a weak red flash from the led closest to the earpiece (prox sensor or light sensor?) The led will flash on briefly, then off and if I continue to hold the power button, it will flash again after 7 seconds.
Only once in the hundred or so times I've tried to boot this thing up did I get anything, it went to ODIN and asked for a download file, then froze. I had to pull the battery and since, I haven't been able to do anything with it.
The seller contacted me about a week after the auction asking me to wipe his old files from it if I got it working, I told him of the problem and he said he didn't have that problem and when it left his hands it was still powering up but getting stuck in a boot loop. Did I blow on a dead phone? Any tricks I can try?:confused:
