Back Up & Reset

Hi guys! I have a question. Let's say I want to do a factory reset on my Z2 or a system repair (which also wipes all the data I guess), what data will be stored back into the phone after I want to restore via the Back Up & Restore app? Because I read somewhere that not your apps nor app data will be in the saved data . Rookie here haha. Thanks in advance :)
