Anyone disable the com.tmobile.pr.adapt issue when rooting?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it slows down and warms up my phone. I know we can freeze it with Titanium Backup, but do we know what it does? And are there any drawbacks to disabling it? I've already denied it root access.
